Xiumei Cai received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from Chongqing University , Chongqing, China, in 1998 and 2002, respectively.Since 2002, she has been a teacher in Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications, Shaanxi, China. Moreover, she is an executive director of Shaanxi Automation Association.

Over the past years, she has published nearly 30 refereed papers in international journals. Her research interests mainly include pattern recognition and image processing, measurement and control technology and so on. She received multiple funding, including the National Nature Science Foundation of China , Natural Science Foundation of Shaanxi Province of China,  Foundation of Shaanxi Educational Committee.
