Wenqing Wang received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, Shaanxi, China, in 1987 and 1993, respectively. In 2003, he received Ph. D. degree in engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University. From 2004 to 2006, he was a Postdoctoral Research with Xi'an Jiaotong University. Since 2006, he has been a Professor and Dean at the School of Automation, Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications, Shaanxi, China. Moreover, he is a member of China Institute of Communications, executive director of Shaanxi Automation Association, executive director of Shaanxi Instrumentation and Control Society, and Evaluation Committee of Shaanxi Enterprise Technology Innovation Award.

Over the past years, he has published more than 80 refereed papers in international journals. His research interests mainly include structure analysis of complex system, robust control, industrial process control, intelligent information processing and so on. He received multiple funding, including the 973 Project, the National Nature Science Fund of China, the National Postal Service Project of China, the National Nature Science Fund of Shaanxi, the Industrial Research Project of Shaanxi, and the Scientific Research Program Funded by Shaanxi Provincial Education Department.
